1. Click on the following link and read Act I Scene V on your own. It is the No Fear Shakespeare version, so reading both sides will really help you understand the scene in plain language, which is crucial for completing the remainder of this Web Quest.

Open a new tab, go to Google Drive, Log in, Create a new document, Label it King Lear Web Quest, Type your name and other pertinent information on your document in MLA style (ask a neighbor or me if you aren't sure how to do this), Title your document King Lear Web Quest, cut and paste the questions below into your document, and then give your answers, making sure to read the questions carefully and to write in complete sentences with correct grammar and mechanics.

4. How does the Fool feel about Reagan, and what does he believe will happen when the King goes to her castle?
5. Toward the end of scene V, King Lear says " Yay! It's time for a Shakespearean Web Quest! You have one class period to complete this assignment, anything you don't finish in class will be homework.O, let me not be mad, not mad, sweet heaven! I would not be mad. Keep me in temper. I would not be mad." What events have led King Lear to have this worry (going mad)? Please use examples from the play that we have read/covered to support your answer (100 words minimum).
6. For this task, you will write a comparison between Act I Scene V and a text of your choice. Remember that a text can be a book, play, article, movie, picture, advertisement, or sitcom episode etc. You may use the internet to help you research and find your comparison text. You will need to provide your comparison text in your answer. For example, you could insert your chosen picture or advertisement in your document, or include a link to a video. Make sure to summarize your comparison text as part of your answer. Finally, eloquently compare your text to Act I Scene V in King Lear. How are they similar? Make sure your connections are clear and understandable (300 word minimum, including the summary).
